I am absolutely delighted to see fellow South African Lauren Beukes’s "Zoo City" there. A book to watch! I’m equally happy to see "The Windup Girl," a favorite of mine.
Oh, I think "The Windup Girl" will most likely win.
I picked up Zoo City in the bookstore the other day and read the first chapter. I really liked what I read and have added it to my list. I’m having a helluva time narrowing down my list right now. I’m always a few years behind it seems.
Glad to see Zoo City and The Restoration Game on there, looking forward to reading them.
I’m really dissapointed by the fact that Hannu Rajaniemi’s "The Quantum Thief" is not in the short list.
