I was excited to see this over on Topless Robot and thought I’d share it here. After all the hoopla surrounding this film, it’s great to see things back on track. I can’t believe it’s been 12 years since LOTR!

I can’t wait for the film, and I’m psyched that they are splitting it in two. I can’t wait to see what Jackson does with the time between the Hobbit and Fellowship. He’s using Tolkein’s notes and the Silmarillion for source material.
Yes indeed. We’ll likely get the battle of Dol Guldur in southern Mirkwood where Gandalf, Sauruman (a good guy Sauruman at that!) and Elrond chase out Sauron! No way Jackson is gonna pass up a big battle scene between Elves and Orcs.
I’d really love to see an explanation of Saruman’s corruption.
