- The Girl Who Soared Over Fairyland and Cut the Moon in Two, Catherynne M. Valente (Feiwel and Friends)

I’m not sure I’m pleased about the win for Abaddon’s Gate. I wasn’t a massive fan of Leviathan’s Wake, and now I’m going to have to read two more volumes in the series to complete the set for the Locus SF award.
I just found a copy of Larry Niven’s Integral Trees a few weeks ago, too; the last tricky one I had to locate.
I’ve read all four books in the Expanse series, and Abaddon’s Gate was my least favorite. They’re all entertaining but the series is something of a throwback. I’d rather see something more innovative as the winner.
