I read the start of The Girl With All the Gifts by M. R. Carey and quite liked it but for some reason I set it down and never got back to it. After seeing this trailer I think I’ll have to pick it up again. This looks really intense.

Oh Dave, pick it back up. This was one of the best books I read last year, and one of the best “zombie” books I have ever read. I am sure I will be disappointed by the movie because the book was so dang good.

Ooooh, delicious! I’m with Badseedgirl – highly recommend you finish the book, Dave!! It is for me also one of the best reads in a while, and sadly very neglected book in awards’ season. I think it to be a refreshing take on the zombie theme.

I hope they don’t chicken out from the ending. If we all commit to this not being an I Am Legend situation, maybe we can make it come true.

Finished last night and you all were right. Zombies are not usually in my bailywick so I was thrilled with how good the book was. I’m primed for the movie now but I can see some changes in the trailer already. They better not screw up the ending!
